Privacy Policy
Effective Sept. 25, 2026.
This Policy explains how personal data is handled when you use the Dubl app for iPhone (the "App").
1. Controller
Individual Entrepreneur Dmitrii Chikovinskii (OGRNIP 314385018300179, TIN 380471193017), Russian Federation ("we", "us"). Contact for any privacy request: the form on the support page.
2. Key points
- The App is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger and delete it if we learn of it;
- We do not sell personal data and do not share it for third-party advertising;
- We do not use your face or voice to identify you. Video and audio are processed to edit your video, not to recognise who you are;
- Your content may include other people. You are responsible for having their consent — see the Terms of Use.
3. Data we process
| Category | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Account data | Phone number; the identifier, name and email of the account you sign in with, as shared by the sign-in provider |
| Content | Videos and audio you upload or parts of them, individual frames, transcripts, your edits and the finished result, including what they show and say |
| Device data | An app-generated device identifier, device model, iOS and App version, push-notification token, IP address |
| Support requests | Requests sent through the form on the support page: the text, the email you give for our reply, the App's reference number, IP address and browser details |
| Technical data | App events, crash reports, usage statistics |
We do not collect your location and do not track you for advertising. We derive the country from your IP address only to offer the sign-in methods allowed there.
4. Why we process it and on what legal basis
- To provide the App — sign-in, video editing, storing your content and results, notifications, support: performance of our contract with you (the Terms of Use);
- To meet legal duties: legal obligation;
- To keep the App secure and improve it — preventing abuse, diagnostics and usage statistics: our legitimate interests in a safe, working App.
5. Who we share data with
We use service providers who process data on our behalf, each only as needed for their part of the work and under obligations of confidentiality and security:
- hosting and infrastructure providers;
- speech-recognition and automated audio, video and text processing providers (AI services);
- sign-in, phone-verification and push-notification providers;
- analytics and diagnostics providers.
Your video and audio go to AI services only with your permission. Before the first "Find the takes", the App asks for it separately; nothing is sent until you tap "Allow". You can revoke it at any time: account button → "AI processing" → "Send videos to AI services". Without it, editing in the App is not available.
Content is sent to processing providers without your account details (phone number, name, email) and only to edit your video. We may also disclose data where required by law. A list of our service providers is available on request.
6. International transfers
We are based in the Russian Federation and our main servers are located there. Some of our service providers are located in other countries, including the United States. Your data may therefore be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection laws differ from yours. Where the law of your country requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers; you may ask us about them through the form on the support page.
7. How long we keep data
- Account data, content and results are kept while your account exists, or for a shorter time if the App deletes them earlier under rules shown in it;
- After you delete your account, your data is deleted within 30 days, except records we must keep by law and a one-way fingerprint of your identifier used to prevent the return of blocked accounts;
- Technical data is kept no longer than needed for its purpose.
8. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections, access to it is restricted, and we apply organisational and technical measures to protect it.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, withdraw consent at any time, and complain to your local data-protection authority.
You can delete your account yourself in the App: Account → Delete account. For any other request, including withdrawing consent, write to us through the form on the support page and include the contact linked to your account. We respond within the time required by applicable law.
10. This website
This website has no visitor analytics and no advertising, and it stores no tracking cookies in your browser. Like any web server, ours sees your IP address and browser details and keeps them in its logs only to run and protect the site. When you send a request through the support form, they are stored with it to filter out abuse.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. The new version is published on this page with a new effective date. If a change requires your consent, we will ask for it. If we make material changes that affect you, we will let you know in the App or by email.
